Hey guys, I have a few SE razors, 1912, OCMM, etc. and to start I used some plain old carbon steel blades that I got at CVS. Not wanting to have to worry about drying and caring for the blades so much, I got some GEM by Personna Stainless Steel blades on Amazon. Why is it that the carbon steel blades work so well and seem so much sharper than the stainless blades, while also being incredibly smooth? The carbon steel blades gave me some of the best shaves that I've had, while the stainless blades are just not good, at least for me. Are the coated Ted Pella blades any better?
