St. Charles Shave Cologne?

Just came across a suggestion for Very V from St. Charles shave cologne. Their website is amazing and I'm concerned it may spark another AD. Does anyone have an opinion on the quality of these EDTs?

Specifically, longevity, sillage and projection as well as any opinions on specific scents.

I have New Spice edt from SCS. It has a warm ambery/incense drydown. I get whiffs of patchouli. It does have a sweet carmel overtone to it that can make it a bit heavy so I go light on the trigger. Longevity is amazing I get at least 12 hrs on skin and days on clothing. Someone on basenotes said this is very similar to L'air du desrert marocain by tauer which goes for well over $100. I definately think this smells more expensive than it is.

I have samples of Aspect and Refined I find both of them to be a bit light and fleeting.

I have also been interested in trying Very V and some others from SCS.

There aren't many reviews on these fragrances so I think samples are the way to go.

But for the price they wont set you back to blind buy and can always unload in the bst or use as air freshener

I bought the New Spice and Bay Rum with a Twist several years ago and they are worth every penny. The New Spice is a Fall/Winter scent a tad heavy or thick and smells a little like carmex at first but dries down nicely and the Bay Rum with a Twist has summer all over it and has more longevity than a lot of other bay rum scents out there, and my wife actually likes both of em.

Thank you for the feedback on SC colognes!

Did you pick up Azzaro yet or already looking for the next best thing? :biggrin1:

Jut got it and I love it, I am questioning the longevity right now but I may just have to give it more time and increase sprays.
