Spine correction?

Hi guys

I have been buying a few straights from ebay to practice my honing skills. I am having real trouble with one razor that has significant and uneven wear on the spine. Is there a way of even-ing out the spine wear as i doubt I will be able to get a shave ready edge as it is

Run the marker test on the edge and see if you're making full contact on the edge on both sides before you undertake spine wear correction. The edge is what determines shave readiness, not the spine. If you're making full contact on both sides, don't worry about the spine wear.
