What's new

Speick

I just ordered it for the combination of facial healing goodies. Includes alum and camphor. Nice. Now, tell me about the ever subjective fragrance.

The fragrance is a light, fresh floral. The scent is fleeting, so it doesn't clash with whatever cologne I wear.

I love the scent. Sometimes I swear I get a toned down English Leather hint when I smell it, but nonetheless it's a great frag. Like the others said it goes away pretty fast, but still a solid performer and worth every penny.

It is my favorite AS Splash. It just feels so good. The scent is very light and not long-lasting. I would describe it as "green" and herbal.

It smells really nice, it's kind of floral and fresh, and doesn't last long. At least I don't feel it after half an hour, but it does a great job, it's the best I tried so far. A limited experience however, but still :)

The only way I can describe the scent is Speick is "Speick."
One it arrives, you will understand.

The scent is not my favorite (I prefer Bay Rum varieties). Good news is that the smell doesn't last long and the healing properties are second to none.

To me, Speick is about the same quality-level as standard $6 over the counter stuff like Clubman and modern Old Spice. In fact I'd place those three in order like this: OS, Speick, Clubman.

I'm guessing Speick is only a few Euros in Germany and that the US price is higher because of limited export...?

the scent may be a surprise but it's pleasant and not at all obtrusive, the healing properties/face feel are as advertised, and it doesn't linger long. definitely a keeper. I only use it about once a week but it never feels like a compromise.

Actually, the difference in price is due to natural and healing components in Speick ( Speick plant, witch hazel, alum...), while Old spice is syntetic fragrance with cheap alcohol.

But you know, YMMV.

Think varying degrees of Patchouli when you think of Speick. Not stupidly strong like the local hippes wear but a subtle not long lasting version.

Yep, Speick is big fave of mine. I started with the soap, then the shave stick, the deo , then the cologne. To my schnozz it's a wonderfully mild scent that stays close and never overbearing. Even folks I know that are my friends and neighbors have ordered the soap because I gave them the samples I got. Enjoy!
