a good black tea brewed doubled strength, cooled, add ice and a squeeze of lemon. i'm good for the afternoon.
I've got a tea brewer and this is my favorite recipe. Simple, classic, delicious.

Used my, newly acquired, water kettle to make some hot cinnamon and apple herb with some Twyning's English breakfast blend. wow what a punch when poured into a glass of ice.

A nice Assam tea with a good few sprigs of fresh mint in makes a very good iced tea.
Nilgiri makes the best iced tea, according to one really good tea book. Ruby red and doesn't cloud.
I don't use (CTC) teabags anymore - "floor sweepings instead of leaves," one source said - but a brew basket, real tea leaves, and brew it hot with some lemon/lavender loose leaf. It's an amazing brew that tastes great without sugar.
Even really good tea is actually cheap.

brew it strong whatever you use. The ice dilutes it. I'm a traditionalist with the iced tea. Really the only thing I use lipton for these days.
I have a black tea with mango from Coffee Bean Direct that makes a great ice tea.
I make it 'specially often to beat the heat.
A gallon of tea doesn't last very long before it is time to make another.

I make "sun tea" this time of year. Add some mint from the garden and, Yum!
I like to brew oolong iced tea.
