As far as function, it worked wonderfully. An amazingly close shave this morning! Plenty of luscious, slick lather and absolutely no irritation. Now, for scent.......not one of my favorites. To me, it smells medicinal. I asked my wife, "what does this smell like" and her answer was "stinky". She said it smells like wet cedar to her. It's funny, I didn't care for Trumper's sandalwood when I first tried it but it's grown to be one of my favorites so I'm hoping this will come around for me scent wise. It seemed to have a slight cooling effect like Proraso green but not nearly as intense.

The sandalwood is one of the few Taylor's I'm not completely satisfied with. Sure, it has the typical rich Taylor lather, and gives a good shave, but I'm not particularly fond of the scent. Perhaps it's because I love sandalwood so much that I hold it to a higher standard. I like the smell of Trumper and C&E more (add the QED soap to the list), but still have to try the AOS and Coates. Boy, do I wish Harris or CF made a sandalwood!

I agree - the Taylors Sandalwood isn't that great a scent (for me). C&E, Vulfix, QED, etc. are better.

If you want to try the AOS, I have a tub in the Shaving Mall - I'll make you a good deal.

I am impressed with the KMF product and will definitely be using it on a weekly basis. I like the scent and it produces a nice later. I also purchased a bar of the "Olive and Lavender" soap when I was at Whole Foods.

Overall, a very nice shave at a great price. Will definitely be buying more of the scents.
