soaps similar to TABAC

Hello to all

As I've read from the reviews and posts, the TABAC soap is probably the number one soap or at least one of the best here.

My question is which other soaps lather and perform just like the TABAC?

Im asking because Im very interested in buying my first soap, so a good and easy performance is my goal

Thanks for your anwers:001_smile

Even non-tallow PdP and CADE give me excellent dense creamy lather....better than Tabac in my view.

CADE can usually be found locally for $10 a refill puck, so that can make it a very attractive first soap.....I just realized you were in Greece....that changes this statement a bit.

Speick stick is a very nice one also.

Ease of lathering? The only thing I've found is vintage Old spice. (My guess is most of the vintage tallow soaps are likely pretty similar in this respect).

I'd wager that AOS is probably close based on how many recommendations it gets. MWF gets as many, but about half of them warn that it's tricky to lather.

There's also a couple sticks I've mostly heard good about. Arko and Valobra? come to mind. Palmolive and Speik too?

I've gotten good results with Williams, but I seem to be in the minority here.

My QED works fine too.

Really it's gotten to the point where more soaps work fine for me than don't, so I'm guessing that's a good sign.

But for straight up no questions asked "this soap WILL lather well and easy"...
Tabac + Vintage old spice.

Both lathered great the first time I used them.

I don't know if there are many that perform similarly, but there are many that are awesome in other ways. If you are looking for a great non-tallow soap line, any of the SCS soaps are fantastic (but you'll need to give Wendy and Sue some time to get back in the swing of things), Trumper's as well. For tallow based, I really like DR Harris Arlington.

I have Tabac, Irish Moos, Speick, Palmolive, Klar's Kabinett which are all easily available in Germany and which I like a lot. (especially Klar's Kabinett is getting a lot of my attention)

I find their performance comparable.
If scent is high on your wishlist then you have to consider other soaps as well since the scents are not that refined as the Floris soaps for example.

In my limited experience, Irisch Moos and Speik perform very similar to Tabac, with entirely different scents, but similar performance. Heck, just get all you can lay your hands on and try them all.

Cade is almost as good for me, quality and ease of lather is tops. It's the Tabac for people who don't like the smell of Tabac - you know, those weirdos. But otherwise, just get Tabac.

Funnily enough, the only soap I've tried that actually does stink of old fag butts is DR Harris Marlborough. Aptly named...
