i went to C&E and they have there soaps there as you all know. the lady tried to seel me the soap in that wooden case for like $12 but when i bought it without it, its $8. why is that???

$12 is really cheap for the soap with the wooden bowl. But anyways, you are paying for the packaging.
If you like at most of the soaps mentioned on here you can buy a refill(like what you bought) or you can buy the soap in the wooden bowl and the bowl can double the price in some cases.
