What's new

"so you still got that much of usable razor."

If that's a "MINOR CRACK", I'd hate to see a bad one!
At least they're selling it only for "a fraction" of the cost.....what fraction would you say $45 is? 6/8? 7/8?

You can't even make a super stubby Shorty from it. They stopped restoring it and it wasn't worth their time to hang scales but lets see who will pay $45 for it.

i would give them 5$ for it....

and then take it out from the heel ... it IS salvageable.... but there is a chitload of grinding to be done....

That's gotta have been a heart breaker. Dremel goes wild, spinning from edge to spine and crrrrrack it's too late. Still you could hone it out over a number of years and have the smiliest W&B ever seen, probably best to avoid shaving with it in the mean time! :)
would duct tape sort it out?

more or less like this.....

There is some definite signs of "house flipping" going on there. Someone is trying to recuperate their money from some buffing accident...haha

well, it just relisted at $29 for the next 3 days. Keep an eye on it and you might get it for that price in a couple of weeks paco lol
although, if you look at the pic from this angle, it looks like you might have to go a tad further than that:

The crack I think goes further than what the photo shows. I downloaded the high res version of the photo and marked in black where the crack stops (crack turns to a hair line crack).

If you were to dremel the blade out to where the hair line crack stops, and then curve it out.. (black mark also in this photo to show where it probably ends) - this is what it would look like.

The enemy of good is perfect. That looks good, going for perfect-CRACK.

I wonder the amount of F bombs that were dropped when that happened.

I know, I know. I am always trying to make a silk purse out of a sows ear.

But... If I was to cut the blade off at the crack. And then round all the sharp edges...

Would any of you buy a vintage W&B tang keyring for $29? I'd be tempted...

I might need an etsy store.

International shipping makes it not worth it to me, but if I was in the US I would probably be drunk enough to put a bid on.

I've actually got this idea stuck in my head now. I want to find a cool tanged razor, with a good stamp, but a stuffed blade, to make into a keyring. For free, preferably.

On the to-do list.
