What's new

So, I just tried out an Omega boar hair for the first time.... WOW

I am mostly a Badger hair brush type guy. I have been since I started wet shaving. I have a little no name boar hair brush, and it never really felt right to me, just not my thing I thought. So I stuck with my Badger badger hair, and was happy. A couple days ago, a friend of mine sent me http://www.amazon.com/Omega-Shaving...39614873&sr=8-18&keywords=omega+shaving+brush I just used it for the first time, and WOW I really liked it. I mean I still prefer my Badger hair, but this is a nice little change up from time to time.

Some give up on boar due to it not being broken-in and boars, horse, and mixed hairs have their place. I love them all but am going through a best grade badger phase at the moment. Variety is the name of the game.

I've heard quite a few folk mention Horse Hair brushes. Where would be the best place to buy one online for someone with.... a limited budget?

Bullgoose (bullgooseshaving.het) sells Vie-long horsehair brushes from Spain that are real nice. Phil at Bullgoose provides excellent customer service as well.

Yes, it will 200% better when broken in. You have a lot to look forward to :)

Boar is fantastic. Badger is fantastic. The later is great for those days went you went a little too aggresively the day before \ and don't need a good scrubb'n and calls for painting. Boar on the otherhand gives a great scrub when needed.

Welcome to the club! I love Omega's with Italian soft soaps. I love badgers with creams. It's all good!

+1 here for the boar brushes. I have four each of boar and badger brushes and love em all. I also use the boars for soaps and the badgers for creams but the fact is that they all work fine for
either.
