...and I've used it every day since. I have a bottle of the AV sport and never use it, but the original stuff is way better. This aftershave feels great on the skin and has a ton of menthol to it. My wife even likes it and she doesn't like 'old man' scents (I'm 28), but this one is a keeper. I think I'm now an Aqua Velva man, I wish I had not waited so long to try it.

I'm the same age and my wife isn't big on Clubman. Aqua Velva is definitely her favorite, but I will sneak some Clubman every once in awhile.

Seems there's a lot of that going around! I stopped in at the local spot to get some Clubman talc and whilst there decided to try the AV and for just another $3 I also bought the musk variety too. Wife prefers the musk over the classic but both are good to go! (heck she even likes the Veg, so I almost can't go wrong)
Which AV you guys are talking about - Original Sport, Ice Sport, or Ice Blue?! These are the ones I know.

When I say original stuff I mean the Ice Blue, and the AV Sport I mean the Ice Sport. I really don't care for the Ice Sport, it doesn't last at all and it just doesn't smell or feel good to me in warm or hot weather.
Just be careful not to over apply.Trust me, it starts to go from awesome to a big mistake verrrryyyy fast 
I'm with Zack. Tried AV Ice Blue today for the first time and I don't think I'll give it a second chance. Too musky for my liking. But the Ice Sport is great!
Klos, applying with water to cut it down might work. The scent doesn't work for everyone but it's pretty awesome to me

Perfect! I have found some aftershaves are touchy. Just a touch too much and it's as if someone died right next to you.
AV Original was a decent scent, don't care too much for the the Blue or Sport, though I do love the Musk.
I tried some AV for the first time this morning. I must say I am pretty impressed. Nice clean crisp scent which hung around for a few hours. This is definitely going into the rotation.
I was shaving the other afternoon and splashed on some of the AV sport (The one the smells like cool water, and when compared directly...almost identical to the proraso splash.)
Anyhow, she was walking up the stairs, but from the bottom I heard her say to my 1 year old daughter "Oh my, Daddy smells good"!

I'm an Aqua Velva man, too. 
I use AV Ice Blue almost daily. I love the stuff, great feel and great scent.
Plus its blue, can't beat that.

The Dutch vendor Barbiere di Figaro sells it now, so I guess I have to try it once they get back from their vacation in Italy.
They'll probably bring back some interesting stuff too.

AV Ice Blue
Aqua Velva is the way to go. My great grandfather used to use it. And the scent reminds me of my dad for some reason, although I'm sure he never used Aqua Velva...
Osage! Just kidding, actually I really like the Ice Blue. I rotate Osage, Ice Blue and Original Proraso during the summer.
