So how many #8 pellets are in a 12 guage 1 oz load?

Too darn many!!!:bored: My Lee Loadall and I had a bit of a mishap yesterday, and I spilled a bit more than my 7/8oz bushing measures, I am still finding them today.

I think it is best to change the powder bushing only if you are sure that both the powder AND shot sides of the reservoir are empty, no matter how well you think you have things figured out.:wink2:

Gosh! It was certainly brave of you to tell this on yourself. I'm positive that you are the only person that this has ever happened to.:001_rolle Do be careful in the area where they spilled. I heard somewhere that they can be slippery underfoot. That might mean that counting them after you sweep them up to confirm you got all of them is a good idea.

LOL, I agree with oldbluelight.

However, this ought to make you feel better, I used to load a lot of black powder cartridge stuff. Had an old measure for BP. It had a cap for the hopper but I neglected to set the cap on after re-filling the hopper one evening. My cousin had rode in on an ailing chopper one evening, so we pulled it into the shop to cut loose some tabs for re-welding. The grinder shot a spark into the hopper on the powder measure and the shop got real smokey, REAL fast. Very impressive waste of a quarter pound of FFF.

Didn't have to worry about sweeping anything up though.
