What's new

slant, feel NO burn.

OK, follow up to my last thread, got my new slant a couple of days ago and got burn on my first outing, followed advice on here and had a great second shave, no burn at all,i replaced the feather with a derby and was a lot more careful with alignment and angle. I think this could quickly become a favourite.

Good to hear. I got the opposite with burn on my second day and none on my first. I'm using a feather right now, but I should revisit some blades I didn't like in my Merkur Classic.

...still debating slant vs. open comb. I was surprised to see there were more open comb votes in the poll i posted; certainly made me think more carefully about which to try next.

Congrats on the success.

I find the open comb to be better than the slant, at least for me it was.

You'll probably end up trying both however, so have fun with them. :thumbup1:

It's an excellent razor that will give you great shaves. Just make sure you align the blade and give it a little respect as it isn't tolerate of sloppy technique.

I pidy duh foo' dat doesn't give the slant 'spect!
