Simpsons Era question?

I just purchased a Duke 2 off the BST and it comes with a red label on the box. Now I have heard reference to the red label being another era Simpsons brush and that they are now owned by Vulfix. Can anyone please enlighten me on the different (modern) era's?

I'm by no means an expert on the matter, but I believe that the box sticker color is associated with the grade of hair that the knot is made with: Red=Best, Blue=Super, etc.

I bought recent brushes from vendors with red labels not sure the meaning of the label if its hair grade two band or not etc.

The red label outside the box has always been used to identify the Simpson brushes made in Best grade of hair. The Blue label identifies the brushes in Super (both 2 and 3 band) and the Green label identifies the brushes in Pure.
