Shots from Pennsyltucky

Took my son to a train museum in Strasburg, PA (Amish country, Lancaster county) over the weekend. The lighting in the place was horrible, almost dark with some natural light coming in at one end of the massive building.

Here's a shot from a balcony that I think came out well. I have many more, but don't have them hosted yet.

Used a Fuji S7000 DSLR camera with a normal 55mm lens and flash...no filters or additional lenses, set on 6 MP (capable of 12). They've been reduced for hosting and not to take up your entire monitor.

Some previous shots from Gettysburg:

See the tour bus on the road in the background? That's the road that the Conferderate soldiers marched in on. The rock wall is where the Union soldiers sat behind and picked off the Rebels one-by-one as they tried charging across that wide-open field. Not one of the better ideas ever.

Great shots! Strasburg is a must see for any train enthusiast. The kids like to take a ride on Thomas the Tank Engine, too!

Awesome!!! Going to take my 6 year old to Strasburg in the spring. I will enjoy it as much as he will!!!

He'll love it. They have a whole section with multiple play rooms of train sets, Thomas toys, Lego stations, other activities, etc.

A few times a year, starting in the spring, a full-size Thomas train comes and you can ride it.

They did not have all that stuff there when I was there , years ago. I am sure it will be a blast for him as well as my wife and I.
