Shaving with small children

1) Invite them to shave with you for quality time.
2) While they play with brushes, soap, and a razor (bladeless!), lather some Mike's. Keep lathering your face. Lather some more. Lather like your life depended on it, because, it does. :001_tongu
3) When they say that they are done or bored, distract them (a short educationally-oriented show on TV works).
4) Shave.

My face feels FAR happier compared to trying to shave with her grabbing my leg and distracting me right as my Slant goes under my nose or across my chin.

While this board has a lot of variety, I would rather shave with a razor blade than a small child.

Small children probably don't remove many whiskers per pass, pull a lot and occasionally bite pretty badly.

Yes, imagine they are terribly inefficient while at the same time aggressive.

I would agree with all of this.

That is ADORABLE. She uses my Merkur 1904 OC, my Omega Lucretia Borgia synthetic badger brush, and a plastic miso soup bowl. We alternate between RazoRock and Mike's.

My 2 and 3 yr old wake me up each morning to shave.  They go through the whole process of a 3 pass shave with plastic toys razors from Wal-Mart.  We talk about our day to come, cartoons and superheroes, etc.  They are learning patience and I enjoy this time and hate the thought of ever losing it.  its 10 minutes a day that I own with them.

I just had my 3 and 1 year old shaving with me. My 3 year old used an empty new and my 1 year old used an empty red tip. They had a blast.

Really! You can't shave with a child. How would you hone it? But maybe you could lather with one?
