Shaving with Aveeno Lotion?

Nope.

Back in the day I used hair conditioner in place of shaving gel/cream once in awhile; it worked OK. The Aussie stuff makes a reasonable shaving substance.

Now that I have been enlightened I would never go back to that, though.

I am wondering if shaving like this would clog the razor during a pass and build up, etc....kinda like shave oil does. I have no idea and I am not sure if I want to try this. Then again if you get razor burn from it you already have the lotion on your face to heal it. :)

Definitely. I was thinking of setting him up with a starter kit, but I am pretty sure he won't ever try it.

I have shaved with body lotion and even hair conditioner. It does tend to clog the razor with a greasy hairy mess. You would have to rinse after every stroke. I guess if you don't mind that or don't know anything better it's okay.

Anybody CAN shave with just about anything. The question is, why would you want to? If I was running late for work cause I woke up late, then arrived at work and realized I had exactly 5 minutes to shave, then I can use a disposable razor and the soap from a handwash dispenser at work. Dial I believe. 3 minutes later, all done...but joyless.

Lesson for the day, wake up on time, and use the good stuff.

My buddy swears by it. Never tried myself.

Anyone here use lotion in place of soap?

I've always wanted to try this. I can imagine it beeing very moisturizing and if I used my Jason's 84 % aloe vera lotion (moreso than a shaving soap or cream), it would be very healing as well. Haha maybe I will try it someday:laugh:
