Shave everyday or every other day?

How often do you guys shave. I am finding every other day is best for me to prevent irritation. I think it is mostly due to the blades. The Merkur works very well, but the feather seems to be an every other day blade for me. I can't wait to get the variety sample pack from Amazon.

At 50 years of age I can probably count on my hands the number of days I've not shaved when I did not intentionally have a full beard. Things just don't feel right when I don't shave and shower. Ok . . . sometimes it has happened in the afternoon but it happens 99.44% of the time.

When I was in Boot Camp (I'm sure there are some here that remember the lines in front of the mirrors and sinks where you had to look around the person in front of you to see the mirror) there were a few "lucky" ones that were ordered to shave twice a day. I was one of the "lucky" ones.

Every day... wet shaving has turned a chore into a pleasure.

Weekday shaves are more perfunctory yet still very enjoyable and the weekend is when I take my time and enjoy something a little more luxurious.
