Sharks are fine blades

I've been using them for about a week now... this is the third day on my second blade (the "chrome" version) and I got a very smooth shave with no irritation.

I've found them to be very consistent, as well. I can't decide if I can tell the difference between the super chromes and the super stainless, though. Good blade, for sure.

I'm only had 2 shaves with my first Shark Super Stainless blade, but it's been excellent so far.
Not one nick, no burn, and DFS on 2 passes plus touch-up both times.

I started back with DE shaving about four months ago. I'm old enough to have shaved with Gillette razors in the late 50s through the early 70s. The difference today is blade quality. I started in January 2010 with Sharks, cycling to other brands from sample razor packs. I keep coming back to Shark.

I've used Sharks in a variety of Parker designs, old Gillette's, Merkur 34C and 38C. Shark blades have worked well in all of them.

I've only used the Shark stainless steel version but I must say they are smooth! I'd rank them as good as red pack personnas.

But they don't have a shark on the package!!!

I used a couple of the stainless version and though not bad at all I was disappointed. I have been using Lord blades for several years now and love the Super Stainless version and close behind the Chrome and Platinum blades.

After all the positive reviews I expected a shave at least equal to these but they certainly don't do that for me. I need at least one more pass to come close to the Lords but still not as smooth after 3 passes with serious touch ups as the Lord SS do in 2 passes and hardly any touch ups needed.

A lot of YMMV for sure but for me the Sharks are a nice blade like a dozen others and I will no doubt finish the package but I don't see the need of replacing them.

Sharks are my favorite blades so far. I have been using the for over a year, and I haven't had a bad blade:thumbup1: yet.

I've been thinking about trying some. I think I'll have to break down and order some. Is the best place to get them from Westcoastshaving?

That is one, I personally order mine thru ebay, seller ntguys, also a member here, and there are a couple others as well. And if IIRC, they are also available on Amazon.

Thanks!! Has anyone tried both the Chrome and Super Stainless for comparison?

I have used both, and I do not see any difference between the two. Both are excellent, and last after several days of hacking at my beard, and mine is heavy. I don't think you can go wrong with either.

Sharks are good blades. In fact, I've been impressed with nearly all Egyptian blades. Sharks, most Lords, Big Bens, and Ascos have done well for me.

I have not had nearly as consistent results from blades from India or Pakistan. Among blades from South Asia, I have noticed inconsistent sharpness among blades of the same type, and very inconsistent properties among blades from the same company.

Sharks SC are my go to blade for DE. Member Howard1616 sells them as well. The blade is so cheap in price I can go 2 and out and only be out pennies on the shave.
