Semogue 2000 on the way

Yesterday I ordered my first boar brush, the Semogue 2000. Hopefully it'll arrive by the end of the month. Can't wait. I've read many positive posts about the 2000, hopefully it will live up to the high expectations.

Hope you enjoy it and will post your thoughts! I've been toying with ordering one myself but waiting for wife to come to understand perhaps we need shaving brushes like she needs shoes...etc.

Good deal! Enjoy! So what are you going to be comparing with or against? I've got a tweezerman and a omega pure, rest are boars. I'm still waiting for right time...

I have a Parker pure badger 24mm knot that is very soft with almost no spine but it's my favorite brush because it lathers up very quickly. I also have a no-name silvertip brush with a stiff spine that eats creams and soaps. So I'll be comparing the boar to those two.

I just bought myself a Semogue Owners Club brush today, which will be my first boar.

This brush has received some rave reviews as well, so I'm really looking forward to it - I prefer face lathering with soaps, so a lot of the commentary has led me to believe I'll be perfectly suited to a boar.

Not that I won't continue to acquire Silvertips, of course!

Nice. I know it could take several weeks to break the boar brushes in so I have to be patient. I have to say that I was put off by the smell but I washed it with shampoo and soaked it in water/vinegar so hopefully that'll do some good.

Be patient with boar and it will treat you well! I'm probably going to move almost totally away from badger once I can scrap up the $$$ for the SOC. Can't wait!

I am sure your 2k will reward you with years of service....they, boars, are never ready to go out of the box, be patient with it, they get better, alot better in fact.
