Selling on the bay

For those of you that do...are razors like anything else and don't get many hits until the last day? It shot up quickly then went stagnant.

I have a nice razor over there and its not yet pulling in what I need...keeping fingers crossed that it bumps up fast.

If it's a popular item you can expect a flurry of bids in the closing seconds. I have purchased many items from Ebay over the years and have never bid with more than 5 seconds to go. (I of course use a sniping service but even then I'm often outbid!).

It depends if it's listed in the right category without any typo...

I usually go for the minimum bid and often the razor is forgotten and I get it at a minimum... Unless Dunny outbid me...

That didn't happen on the Filarmonica last week...

I'm hoping some action picks up on it. It's one of the Ikons. Too aggressive for me. Hard to get from Pureslab right now, so will make someone happy. I love the thing, just couldn't get a comfortable shave. I will probably regret selling it, but eh...what do you do. I just hope I get back what I put into it. Just paranoid is all. Thanks all!

Your best bet is to not sweat it. Just go to sleep, and check the price in the morning. You have no control over what buyers will offer, so why worry about it?

I'm sure someone will snag it at the last second. :thumbup1:

Try using Bidnip Auction Sniper. I have never lost a bid using the service.

My adjustables went pretty high with a day still to go. Lots of watchers.

PM me with the link, I'd like to see it (only if that's OK). Mods?

I my experience, twelve great photos showing as much of the razor as possible, and an informative narrative of the razor will work wonders. As everyone has been saying most of the action occures at the end of an auction. Lastly, the more watchers you have usually indicates a good result.
Best of luck.

Many of the Ebay offerings have crappy cell phone blurry pictures showing little detail and a narrative worth nothing. It is a crap shoot on those. The ones that bring in decent bids have many focused pictures and a literate narrative often with a grading scale. The vendor should have a decent rating of above 98%. On the other hand you could get lucky. I especially am amused by the "I didn't clean it because I didn't want to damage it" or the ever popular, "Be sure to disinfect it before using."

As far as I can tell from a quick searc there's only 1 Ikon for sale on the 'bay, so either that's you and you should be okay once the snipes start or your listing needs work. ;)

I see that pureslab is selling his ikons on ebay. They're under the category "health & beauty" rather than the typical "collectibles".
