Selling fierarms online

any of you guys ever sell a gun online with an agency like gunbroker.com ,or a similar agency? since all transactions must meet strict regulatory procedures , I would think it should be safe

I have used Gunbroker.com to buy and sell firearms. I never had any problems. Just follow the rules.

Ive used calguns.net and sold a few ARs by posting the location where you are at and meet with the buyer at the store where the transfer will be done.

Unless it's a contiguous state rifles and shotguns must go through an FFL dealer. Handguns have to go through an FFL dealer even with contiguous states.

everything here goes through a ffl holder,,only exceptions are firearms on the federal list of "curios and relics"

since you are in CA and not very familiar with Federal laws and then on top of that the very strict CA laws I would suggest letting a dealer handle the sale. hopefully it is legally registered in CA. Rifles and shotguns are one level and if it's a handgun that really get's detailed. Trying to explain to the ATF the you didn't know or didn't understand, etc.. doesn't work.

I do know enough to follow the states guidelines.the firearm cannot be shipped by myself.I must fill out the paperwork and ship from my ffl holder..my ffl holder may only ship to another ffl holder..this actually makes it safer for both parties.I posted this thread to find out if the online dealers were honest ,reliable and also to see which site has the biggest audience...

I've purchased, but not sold.

Just from the listings it appears Gunbroker would have the largest base. I've asked my FFL and he receives many more from Gunbroker than other online sites combined.

But keep in mind, they are auction sites, ebay for firearms, and the individual seller is the key.
