Hi-
I've been researching all the different scuttles and, based on their looks and reviews, I've narrowed it to the Moss vs the Georgetown Pottery G5 (maybe G20). Can anybody who has tried or owns both give me their comparative impressions of performance? Thanks.
i had a G5, it was decent, didn't care for the stopper so used a natural cork which worked much better (i have pics on here if you search them out).
i have seen a moss, but believe it to be like my SRD scuttle, more of a brush scuttle. it did not look big enough to lather in.
of the ones i have tried DB1.5, SRD and G5, the DB1.5 wins hands down for build quality, lathering and function....as well as in price and customizable for that matter.
i have the G5 and, in my experience, as well reviews you'll read on B&B- it has trouble with heat retention. Clearly ironic since it's a scuttle. I've found a way to retain heat with it but it's fairly over-engineered.
