Finally received the two old razors my brother had at his place. The Micromatic was in fact NOT a clog proof but an open comb (virtually a carbon copy of the one already in my rotation. ) The 1912 however, is quite a beauty chrome, all metal with a square handle (the one I already have sports a chubby black bakelite handle and a brass finished head). The new arrivals are both soaking in a hot bath as we speak. Scrubbing Bubbles/Brasso to follow. The 1912 will debut on Wednesday and the Micromatic on Friday. No doubt they'll be great shavers.

Good to hear you got them in. Too bad you weren't able to add another Micromatic style to the collection. I think you'll be happy with the 1912, I prefer the metal handles over the large plastic one, on the rare times I use a 1912
