My new baby from the bay. Can't get over this loading mechanism. Very very nice.
Cleaned up nicely too - only a couple of small blemishes that I didnt I want to scrub too hard....

My only problem is this will have to be one of those clandestine shaves. No way I can pass this off as "just my gold razor, honey"

This shaves...........wonderfully.
More aggressive and efficient than either my G or M.
Seems to be range of cutting angle, but you hear it when you get it.
First shave came out with the closest shave I've had with a Schick - near BBS all round, with only a minor spot of irritation because I overdid it.
Will use this for a week to see if I can master it.

BTW, during the early stages of my RAD, "clandestine" shaves were best, the sweetest taboo.....

LOL! Just the opposite of my finding. I'll chalk that up to me being to gentle and not enough experience. Just did a write up on it.

Interesting. How does the loading mechanism work?

One side pulls out to store the blades. When back in, the other side pulls out then pushes a blade up through a small slit in the top of housing. With the head of the blade rotated 90 degrees, it slots right in, just like a more modern injector.

Reading that again...made no sense at all did it?

Just had one of my finest shaves of the year with this.

Loaded up my best ever Mystic Waters face lather on 3 days growth and mowed it down like it wasn't there. The smoothest long growth pass I've ever had.
Simply wonderful. Got to BBS on most of the face including bits around the Adam's apple that never get BBS.
A couple missed spots on the jaw are the only thing making this DFS, not BBS. Effortless, smooth, sublime.

enjoyed 5 shaves this week the C. Only today's was less than stellar, and I suspect it was a haphazard VDH lather or a getting worn out Chick blade.
This one is a sure fire keeper.
