What's new

saville row 2824

I know that the 3824 was the winner of the brush wars and i am considering this brush for a uber lather model for use in a big ole ansgar scuttle i have on the way, but i am wondering if any one has tried the 2824 which is basically the same with the best instead of finest hair. thinking that it might be a little less stingy when it comes to giving up the lather, or do you feel the 3824 is fairly generous anyway?

The 3824 has been changed since it won the brush wars. The new model has a shorter loft (original - 61mm, newer - 54mm). I have not tried the 2824, so I cannot comment on that particular brush, but the 3824 does not hog lather at all.

I have the 2824 in best in my rotation. I find it to be a very nice brush, and easy to lather with. I think you'd be pleased with one. :thumbup1:

thanks paul, do you bowl lather or face or both? like i mentioned i am going to use this mainly for mixing up a big scuttle full of uber mix, since i have recently started to shave with a straight it is taking me a bit longer for each shave and i am hoping to be able to have a reservoir of lather to draw on as it seems to dry out too fast when i just face lather. hoping that logic is sound LOL.

Well it seems to be suited to what you want, in my opinion. I highly doubt you'd be disappointed with a Savile Row brush, even of Best grade.

I bowl lather 99% of the time. but that brush will work great either way. :thumbup1:
