Santa Maria Novella Pre Dopo Barba + CARS

I'm looking at purchasing some new aftershave. I've been using CF Lime and Harris rose. I've found the Harris balm to be quite good, the CF hasn't been to bad either but leaves a sticky residue.

Before deciding I'm interested in getting feedback on the SMN Pre Dopo Barba and CARS products. Has anyone used both and can provide comparisons? Is the scent on both long lasting, do they leave your skin greasy?

Any feedback would be welcomed.

dopo is quite thick and leaves a residue - read does not sink in. ymmv

the CAR is a must have. the scent is short lived for sure, but it moisturizes and sinks in like nothing else. must be used with the tonic by the way, which is also beautiful, but scently short lived. I like them enough to have gone through several flavors. for me it is a winter time must. heck, I use it on my whole face. Nice product.

I would like to retract the statement about SMN pre dopo. I must have been drinking wine that night. Perhaps I was over zealous about the hydrolast balm. Considering one "better" is not always the correct approach.

Spending more time with the Pre Post Dopo I find it to be a nice product, especially rewarding during the past winter weeks.

Anyone else have experience with SMN dopo?

Yes. However, I have only used it as pre. I like it but it is outragiously expensive. I think I paid about $35+ for the tiny tub at the SMN farmacia. I also bought some SMN lavendar AS splash. I wish I could afford to use this stuff every day. For me it is just right, not too strong and fades gradually.

Sorry I can't comment on the other product.

I really like the SMN before and after. I prefer to use it after and feel that it provides excellent soothing and healing properties
