I think I have a rust spot on my razor. I’ve polished it to get some of it off. Would they be any risk in using it if it’s not by the guard? Is it ok since it’s not what is actually cutting my face?

It might be the brass showing through and not rust. No issues in using it. Enjoy!
It's not rust. Brass does not rust. Most likely you have some tiny plating loss or tarnishing.
It would seem inconsequential and quite safe to use.
Even on the guard it should not be a problem. A very small proportion of people report an allergic reaction to brass, but it's normally from very long term wearing of rings, bracelets etc.
A few seconds contact with skin should not be any issue.

Thanks guys. I like the Blue Tip and wanted to use it. Now I’d I could only find the time to clean all the other razors I got on EBay.
Love it and use it. To me it’s nothing to worry about. They are great razors, enjoy it.
