What a shill... He's just trying to capitalize on gossip. Just like that other guy in Arizona you can't believe a thing that comes out of his mouth!!
Not really breaking news, been discussed here for months. More like a commercial for Razor Emporium. To be fair, there are many places still selling Russian-made DE blades.
Being the pirate he is, I'm sure he's aiming to make bank on his soon-to-be overpriced stock of Russian blades. There is no blade fairy who sprinkles magic machine grindings anointing Russian blades. I'm sure the Gillette blades from India will be perfectly fine.
I bought a couple of tucks of Gillette Platinum made in China. This is where they are made now. I'll give them a try, but given the reputation of other blades made in Chinese P&G factory, I'm not optimistic. They don't have glue spots though.

I've tried a few Chinese blades. Not a fan.
Whether fact or fiction, that video is just... Intolerable.
The ones from the Surf and Turf challenge were quite good.
Not only China, Astras come now from India. Not sure if there are already reviews in.
I've used Gillette 7 O'Clock Green from India for years. I can't tell the difference between them and PPI blades. I've recently shaved back-to-back months using New Lord Platinum from Egypt and Gillette Platinum from St. Petersburg. Not much of a difference there. I'd be hard-pressed to tell them apart in a blind shave test.

Managed to buy several hundred Russian made DE blades over this Summer. Just received a 100 Astra Platinum (made in Russia on the box) for less than $10 shipped to my door. Still a bucket loads of Russian made DE blades in stock online.
So I am new here and asking this question genuinely, what is with all the razor emporium hate? Is there a story there?

There are a ton of stories if you search RE on B&B. For me, it was a bait and switch on a vintage razor. He told me he'd make his "mistake" right if I paid for it.
I won't even click on it, knowing it's from those scumbags.

I would grow a beard before I buy blades, or anything else from Razor Emporium; bankruptcy would be too good for them.
That one and Global Shave Club 
I only bought a lifetime supply of Wizamets (before the war) everything else is stocked decently but when it’s gone I guess there will be good alternatives around.
