Rooney synthetic

Hello,

Have any of you guys had any experience with a Rooney synthetic brush? I wanted to know the softness of the brush and how it lathered compared to a badger.

used mine this morning. It's my travel brush. I'd say from my experience that it lathers differently than badger. Badger just kind of explodes with lather, the synthetic, Rooney, in this case takes a little work. Don't count on face lathering with it, and I have described in other threads that if you do try face lathering you might has well slap your face with wet noodles. My best experiences with the lathering have been in the palm of my hand or in a bowl or mug. The nylon bristle is soft, but really springy, not nearly as dense. I have been able to do well with it on soaps as well as creams.

overall, I view it as a different experience. There are quiet a few threads covering the synthetics and Rooney Nylon was in the big synthetic round up thread. If you are looking for a synthetic, you could probably do better than this one.

Truth be told I had no intentions of buying one, I just was not aware Rooney even made them and thought to ask. Thank you for your detailed answer though.

At one time Rooney also made boar and blended boar/badger brushes also.
