Needless to say, tolerance level will be less than zero.

I just watched the anniversary special on the LA riots that King did on CNN a few weeks back. (I think it was Anderson Cooper who hosted and interviewed). It was pretty interesting......

King swore he was no longer doing drugs, but readily admitted he did a ton of them throughout his life. I wonder what the cause of death was. 47 is pretty young.

Ya' know - my first thought was something similar to 'good riddance to bad rubbish' (I was living in LA during the riots and well remember the CA National Guard patrols, curfews, columns of smoke seeming to come ever closer etc) but I realized this was a tad uncharitable as he was caught up by the Machine as much as the rest of us and the death and destruction of 20 years ago wasn't directly his fault.

I am not quite sure it was his fault at all, much less it being directly his fault. He had absolutely nothing to do with the riots. The riots began because a jury acquitted police offers who were caught on tape beating King half to death. I don't really think anyone is to blame for the riots than the rioters themselves.
