What is the ordering process like for robertsfeatsofclay.com? I ordered a Scuttle by email last Monday. I haven't gotten a reply so I'm curious if that is normal when ordering from this vendor or if I need to resend my request.

He will send an invoice using PP, you pay it he ships the scuttle. If you are worried about Robert not getting your order email the man, he is a stand up fella and will answer you back.

Thanks. I'm not worried about Robert being a stand up guy. I just wasn't sure what to expect since I didn't get an acknowledgment of my order. I didn't want to email him again if this is normal.

I own two of Robert's scuttles and matching brush stands. He's a talented artisan that turns out top-notch products. I'm confident you'll get your scuttle not long after you pay his invoice.

I would not want to be without mine. Hot lather softens whiskers like nothing else, which rewards my face with a totally smooth shave.

Do you guys use the scuttles with soaps, or only creams?

Anyway, on to the question at hand, have you checked your junk folder? When I ordered mine, he responded to my request in a matter of minutes, and it was on a Sunday night. Then he tells you how long it will be. I've ordered 2, one for me and one for my pops, and both times it was about 2 weeks after I placed the order till they were ready. He actually makes you one, doesn't just have them sitting around to send you. Then he sends you pics of it to make sure you like it, and if you think it's cool, he sends you a PayPal invoice. You pay, he ships priority mail. When I ordered my second one he was out of town or something and I think it took him like 2 days to get back to me. But it wasn't long at all.

Thanks. That's what I wanted to know. I expect that he probably has responded to my request and it must have been lost in my spam folder. I'll email Robert.

He will definitely get back to you. I emailed him last week and he responded within an hour or two. His work is top notch at less than half of what others charge.

If it bothers you send a polite email to ask whether he got your email or not. While patience is a virtue, you obviously are wondering if he got the email or not so I would just ask.

I have one of his scuttles as well and love it to death.

I've got one on the way. Watching the porch now.

You should've heard something by now confirming your order.

I received prompt emails throughout the process. The invoice wasn't created until he made the scuttle and sent pics for me to approve it was what I wanted.

can you only pay using PP? Working for a bank, I have helped customers with several nightmare experiences with PP accounts lately(double charges, phantom payments, and hacked accounts). I still haven't used PP for anything and don't plan to if I can help it.

I didn't ask.

These are the pics Robert sent. If you want a specific pic, let me know.

This is the #005, I added the lid, although I don't know of a real purpose for it.

The rubber stopper is a little tricky to remove, I'll be looking for a cork of some sort eventually.

Those are pretty sweet, I have been using a mug, but I have always wandered what a scuttle would be like and those are pretty cool. Definitely fit the bill for what I have been looking for. I haven't had any problem at all with PP, in fact they have always helped me out if a deal went south.

I was using a Ziploc glass bowl. This is quite the upgrade. Inspired the regrettable 4th pass, just because I wanted to use all the lather.
