A unique comedy sensibility and underrated actor. Pee-wee‘s Playhouse was a gas. RIP.
Man was funny playing PeeWee Herman. Cancer is terrible.

Any time I watch Pee Wee's Big Adventure (every couple years or when it's on TV), I make the kids watch the biker bar scene whether they want to or not.
It's that good.
Everyone knows him as Pee Wee, but he had so many other smaller roles most people don't know:

Trimaxion (Max), the robotic ship from Flight of the Navigator

He was a massive part of my childhood. It's a real shame to see him go. RIP.

my oldest daughter was a huge fan of his Saturday morning show, we used to watch together when she was little.
I liked watching it, whether there was a kid there or not!
Pee-wee’s playhouse was a great show, and I’ve been to the basement of the Alamo.

A gifted and innovative comedian and actor, who endured personal difficulties with dignity while still retaining the support and respect of his fans and professional peers.
A gentle and community-minded man who very often tried to help others in his work, attempting to cast his Pee Wee personna to be a role model for his younger fans, and even in the trough of his own personal adversity through voluntary work..
It is maybe easier to be be 'famous' than to be a cult figure. Mr Reubens achieved both.
