Rethinking feathers

I have worked my way through most of a Bullgoose blade sampler as well as some other brands that crossed my path over the last 6 months. My first time through with Feathers I found the blades to pull, and pretty much blew them off after that. However, the other day I started with a fourth shave Iridium and after one stroke knew the blade was a goner. Quickly grabbed a pack of blades and loaded one up in my E1 fatboy, just happened to be a Feather. Applied to the face, gave it a stroke and pure nirvana. Just to make sure it wasn't a fluke used that blade for 3 shaves and then changed. The next blade again was perfect. While I'm not sure that feathers are my go to (they are a bit pricey) I am a believer now.

Feathers are like any other brand. You can get a bad blade once in awhile, although it is rare if and when this happens. The best thing you can do is to can the blade and reload with another from the same pack. If the second blade is also bad, then that brand of blade is probably not for you. :thumbdown
