Removing gold from Gillette Tech

I have a Fat Handled Gillette Tech that I would like to remove the gold from. I tend to like white gold, platinum, and stainless steel. Anyone have an idea to remove the yellow from my razor? What's underneath? Anyone have any success with this?

I think they are brass underneath. judging by some of my old razors the best way to remove the plating is to use them a lot.

They are brass underneath. There are chemical processes to strip them, but it might be easiest to just plate over it.

They are lacquered too, and that definitely has to go before you can plate over anything. I get rid of the lacquer with a low voltage electrolysis bath.
