Refinishing the wood on a Turkish No.6

Not bad! The newer No.6 brushes have better lacquer but an old one I had a couple years ago was in need of this process before I PIF'd it.

I have two No. 6 and the handle on my second brush is nicer, and the loft denser as well.

The No. 6 is a great brush. Here with some other wooden handle colleagues:

Semogue SOC, Turkish n.6, Omega 10005

I've refinished mine with MinWax Fast Drying Polyurethane. Has held up for over a year so far. But then I had some left over from other projects.

Did you keep the natural color or you stained it?
It is amazing how well this low cost brush performs. In fact I think I prefer it over the Omega 10005. It is not an SOC, but at $2.45 it is a hell of a brush, worth every penny! And extremely versatile.

I left mine natural, no stain. You are correct these #6 brushes are a super value at only $2.45. I even reordered extras cause it seems like every time I get something I REALLY like if and when it finally wears out it discountinued, no longer available. Well I took care of that little problem.
