I made my first Italian Barber order over a year ago, I believe around the beginning of June. I received my first Semogue brush, some P.160, a slant, blades, and some RR artisan Napoleon's Violet soap. I immediately fell in love with the p.160, the brush, and slant, but the RR soap didn't really do much for me. It was ok, but the later was not outstanding at that time. I used it a few time before moving it to the back of my collection and forgetting about it. I later tried the La Familia series and like that, so I figured the Artisan line was not for me.
This morning I decided it was time to give it another shot, and if it didn't do anything for me then it was time for it to move on. I soaked my Semogue 1460, let a bit of water drip out, and move to the soap with a wet brush. I loaded for a good while then moved to my face and spend a good while working the lather, adding water a few more times. I was rewarded with some spectacular later! I mean, this stuff was amazing! Every bit as good, if not better, than my favourite soaps.
Clearly, my lathering technique has become much better over the past year. Anyone rediscover a soap after completely writing it off as medicore ?
