"reconditioning" an old Simpson?

I just found an antique butterscotch Simpson Badger brush the other day for a very reasonable price so I picked it up. I've never had a used brush before, but it looked nice enough that I figured I'd replace the brush. However, I just washed it really good and it appears to be coming back to form nicely. My question is- Is it possible to recondition old brushes without replacing the badger? If so, what's the recommended way. (or am I just better off trying to replace it?)

Thanks

Here is a pic after a basic wash. going to try the way recommended above tonight

Nice :thumbup1:

If you can clean it and use without reknotting that's great !!!!

Make sure you post it in the Butterscotch Candy Shop.
