recommendation, beginner brush for my brother

I have decided I need to give my brother a shaving brush and soap for his birthday. I'd like to buy a brush for $25 - $35.

I wish Crabtree and Evelyn still had their best badger.
I'd like to get him either a badger, or possibly a synthetic. Any advice out there?

Alternatively, you could get a Crabtree & Evelyn Best Badger in your price range. Those brushes are fantastic.

EDIT: The last time I was in C&E, the person working the counter told me that they had just worked out another deal with E&J to provide the brushes again. I expect you'll see them in stores again soon.

These are great brushes. The Semogue 1305 would be another great brush.
