I know this is many years ago, now. If you are still in Malaysia, there is a new wet shaving shop in KL and also and older one.

Truefitt and Hill have a couple and I think there used to be an Old Taylor's of Bond Street downtown.
I realize this is a necrothread, but I thought it might be helpful to others.
While in Malaysia u can get done awesome shave gear from online stores like Lazada and Shopee. Look out for Charmwise and Ekotopia on these 2 online platforms. Great razors, soaps, blades etc. U can get great artisan products from these 2 sellers.
Charmwise now has a brick and mortar shop in Puchong. Charmwise also has its own website apart from Shopee and Lazada. Both Charmwise and Ekotopia are great to deal with. They each carry slightly different brands.
The owners of both online stores are my very good friends. Lee Seng Hoe and Shariff Mohamed.
