Razorpit for Straight Strop?

Don't throw things! I just had to ask...

These things are getting some OK reviews (even for DE razors) and since it really appears to be stroping the blade, has anyone tried a SE on one?

They make a new model that is more like a hone block (flat slab without the razor holder sticking out)

I am looking for leather alternatives. Just curious if someone had one sitting around and gave it a try??

Tony Miller was making a vegan strop some time ago. Not sure if he still is, but it would be a darn sight easier to strop a straight on than that iphone thingie.

It seems that Tony only has his Vegan strops in batches and has been out for a while.

I like the idea of the block strop as they are apparently MUCH easier since you have a hard flat surface to work on. The Razorpit looks to me like an updated Gem hone strop:



They have been around for a long time and I like the idea of these. Hone on one side, strop on the other in a small, compact block. Don't know how well they worked though.

Anyone here ever use one?
