What's new

RazoRock Classic Hammer + 100 blades = YES!

I just got received a RazoRock Classic Hammer and 100 Lord Super Stainless blades, with travel case all for $30.95 delivered! I now think it is the best deal going. I love the handle on the razor. Super nice, heavy, and grippy. I shaved with a Lord and got a perfect BBS! Will post some pictures with in compared to an EJ89.

RazoRock CH next to EJ89. I have found the RR handle to be well balanced and works well the the EJ head attached. It has a great feeling in the hand. I highly recommend it.

In the last photo you can see the shank of the RazoRock is considerably longer than the EJ. So, you cannot put the RR head on the EJ handle (if that is what you want...).

Okay. I am giving the Classic Hammer a try. At that price I have almost nothing to lose. And, if it is good, it would be a great alternative to the chrome on pot metal of EJ89s. And there is always the adventure of something new. I think Cunard Lines used the ad: "Getting there is half the fun."

From what I can 'gather' RazoRock and Cadet are made by the same company in India and OEMed to different companies who market the products. Those how have looked into how these handles are made are impressed and say it is the 'good old fashioned' method of plating over good quality bronze (or brass, I am not sure which would be better). All I can say is this handle is heavy, shiny, and looks WAY better than I expected.

I have a Cadet version of the same razor in an open comb. It's one of my favorite handles. There's something about the balance of the longer handle that is just superb.

Congratulations on a great pick up.

Your first line is completely correct.

Handles are chrome over brass.
