Razor identification - antique store pick up

fat handle tech. Should get a nice smooth shave out of it
Gillette tech, don't know what year though. probably 40's
Yes, a pre-war Fat Handled three piece tech. The 'D' shape slots make it a pre-WW2 razor.

Thanks for the prompt responses. Love this forum!!! Any suggestions on how best to get it back to shave worthy.
Just got one of these myself. Same type but without the case. I used the link that Rudd4Prez provided, it looks like they are from 1938-1941.
Scrubbing bubbles/dishwashing liquid and toothbrush
A mild razor--nice comfortable shave.
I just bought one on BST, gotta say that I agree with Phillylion! Not too aggressive, but a few passes will get me there with little to no irritation.
Don't forget after it's all cleaned up and newish again to disinfect her in some barbicide or high proof rubbing alcohol. Just to be safe. (Everclear works in a pinch)
brasso to clean it up. i havea couple of these. onse copper/chrome dual tone, and one chrome. brasso cleaned them both up to an awesome shine. one tipe with the handle is leave the brasso on for a few seconds, and then wipe it off. you can get brasso ay any grocery store or walmart. just look in the household cleaning section. they will be with the silver polish.
