Razor i.d. help with pics

I hope i can get some razor i.d help from all you b&b ers with much better knowledge than myself.
I aquired this razor a few weeks ago and have been useing it in my rotation, it is one that requires
a wedge type blade but until i can get a few honed i have been useing the gem ss / carbon blade.
The only markings on the razor are esf and pat 64903, and as i plan to keep on useing this razor
i would like to know a little bit more about it, Here are a few pics.
Thanks in advance.

I guess patent 64903 must not be a USA patent? That looks very little like an improved machine for swaging horse-shoe blanks.

What is that mark on the back of the head? It looks like it ends with "EXTRA"?

The design reminds me of a Henkels Rapide, but it is not identical. Maybe a clone?

He was looking at mark mw's when he said that. Mark's has the roller guard, which if Wait's is to believe, is called the Henckels Max.

and re: the Henckels clones - it bears mentioning that the Henckels is itself a clone. The original razor was patented by Ernst Scharff, and after the patent expired in 1911, was picked up by Henckels, Safacto, Wester, Wostenholm and others (according to Wait's).
I have an Ernst Scharff, and it lacks the blade stops necessary to use a standard SE blade. Also, the Henckels has the springy tabs on the sides that will accommodate either a wedge or a single edge. What the original 'Rapide' has is two solid tabs under which the wedge passes, and one set screw on each tab. I've never seen any documentation for their purpose, but they could theoretically be used to change blade exposure.

Yes it looks like a henkels clone of some sort, and the print on the blade reads comfort extra but the razor came from france so usa patents might not applicable.
Many thanks for the link as i dont have any info on this razor.

Many thanks guys for the info, it looks very similar to those posted above plus its built like a tank and give a very close shave, almost like a straight.
The box also did not have any markings on it i guess they have faded with time, would i be correct in guesing 1920--30s as this is a keeper for me.
