Ray Bradbury - R.I.P.

"LOS ANGELES (AP) — Ray Bradbury, the science fiction-fantasy master who transformed his childhood dreams and Cold War fears into telepathic Martians, lovesick sea monsters, and, in uncanny detail, the high-tech, book-burning future of "Fahrenheit 451," has died. He was 91."

More here.

He will be missed. Fahrenheit 451 is one of my favorite works.

Rest in Peace, Ray. Fahrenheit 451, The Martian Chronicles, Dandelion Wine.....there will be no forgetting.

One of the greatest.
He opened a whole new world to me as a kid, and I spent countless hours roaming the landscapes that he painted with words.

He'll be missed.

Honor his memory and his contribution by introducing your kids to his works if you haven't already.

91? That man lived a long life.

I remember reading him in high school, about 4 years ago...hated the book at first but was engrossed halfway through. RIP.

+1- I may be refreshing my own memory soon. Think I will pop on down to Half Price Books this weekend.

This man was a legend. Such an imaginative, provocative, engaging writer. Time to dust off some of those novels and short stories I read growing up.

One of these great writers who wakes up your mind. I loved the Martian Chronicles which I read when I was 25. And of course, Fahrenheit 451. Rest in Peace.

Sad to lose such a talent, one of the only authors as a kid that I ever cared to read - Rest in peace knowing you affected so many people in a positive way
