radishes - ideas?

We had a veggie tray for my son's birthday, and now that it's over I have been using the vegetables up. Most of it goes well chopped up into chicken noodle soup, but what about the radishes?

you may try a quick pickle, there are a few recipes on the net.just be sure to use the recomended amount of sugar.otherwise the stuff will be too strong and basically inedible.
i have heard people slice them thin and top a hot off the grill burger with them.i have not tried that though.

Blanched or roasted. Even a simple pan dry 'til brown. Maybe simmer in balsamic vinegar, cranberry juice, walnuts, s&p, then thicken the sauce and serve. Think of ways to highlight the natural sweetness, and then balance that against the sting.

I just eat them, but you could look at making those little radish flowers for garnish. I don't know how practical that would be.

Or make potato salad. I always put radishes in my potato salad.

I've been doing a lot of the Barefoot Runner breakfast smoothies (go in your fridge, grab one of every fruit and vegetable and any whole grain leftovers and through them all in a blender!) and radishes work really well in those. They add just the slightest bit of tart/sharp taste to the mix.

Raw with a tiny bit of softened butter and little sprinkle of salt is awesome. The butter helps tame the harsh bite

i just sliced 5-6 of them thin and sprinkled them with salt.let sit a few minutes and tossed them in a pan with olive oil and cooked till brown.pretty good.tastes like a roasted potato/home fries.:tongue_sm

Slice thin, mix with watercress and sprinle with olive oil, lime juice pepper and coarse salt
Toss & enjoy
