What's new

RAD is gone and so are the razors

After settling on the EJ DE89, I was just not using any of the DE's I had acquired over the past year. So, I sold all except my birthyear SS(nostalgia and no value), my Fatboy(best shaver of all the vintage razors I tried), and a Slim(which I just haven't taken the trouble to try to sell).

When I started down the DE path, I never thought I would give my loyalty to just one razor, but here I am. I did manage to spend more than anticipated on creams, A/S, and EdT, though.

It feels good to be free of one addiction...

+1 Heed Mr.Thirdeyes words of wisdom.I got into Str8s and sold most of my DEs.I found myself rebuying DEs because I miss them.Below are pics of a new find last sunday.:001_smile

Neat razor, but it's missing an edge.

That's o.k. SE's are good too!

Hmmm I kind of see your problem. I also have an EJ DE89L, and to be honest, don't use any of my other razors (EJ DE89L, 66 Super Speed Flare Tip, 62 Fat Boy, Lux, Boots cheapie, Wizamet Junior) in comparison.

Think I'll be selling the Fat Boy soon. The Super Speed I want to keep as it's my birth year. The Boots. Lux and Wizamet were so cheap I'll probably give them away to friends or keep a couple for travelling purposes and to keep one downstairs.

I've got to say, if the EJ suits you it really seems to suit you. I love mine, it's just... well, a quality piece of kit, elegant, functional, efficient, etc, etc,. I just have no desire to buy another razor!

I bought an EJ 89L also, and sold off all my other razors as they were not getting used. I used the cash from the sale to buy a 2nd EJ 89L to keep in the drawer just in case they start getting popular and the price doubles over the next few months.

The 89L, Derby blade and Aveeno shave gel are all I need for a fantastic, irritation free, smooth shave.
