RAD for an R41

I can't count how many times I have had the thing in a vendor's cart only to delete it. I don't need any more razors but I am like a moth drawn to the flame. Hell, if I want to cut myself I can do it with any one of my razors, just not as easily as the R41 I suppose. I need help!!

You MUST have an R41. .......

I couldn't agree more.....most of the "horror" stories I here are rubbish! Read the R41 combined thread, or jump over on the BOTOC thread...you will see lots of R41 Love!! Most efficient razor ever made.....with a great blade and proper angle you will have some of the best shaves of your life....

I had it, it provided a close shave but my skin always felt raw afterwards. I would rather have a comfortable shave than one which peels my face like an onion, but YMMV.

Unbelievable razor. It has made sure I wont have any RAD!!! Trust me, I was on the fence many times and finally pulled the trigger one day. You're not doing any good by just delaying it. For my first shave with it, I had witch hazel right next to me and a towel to control any bleeding. Guess what? Neither were needed. So I agree with bluebishop in that most of the horror stories are rubbish!

Heh heh....help... yeah right! You're in the wrong place for that, man! Just buy the darn thing. And BTW, if you're inclined for RAD, it's not going to cure it. You might think it will at first, but it'll come back. :)

The R41 gives a very good, but unique shave. I thought my DE AD was taken care of, but after getting the R41, and getting used to it, I'm glad I got it. This razor gives a really great shave. I'd go ahead and order it, and if for some reason you don't like it it'll be snapped up right away on B/S/T.

When you get the R41 be sure to use a touch that's so light you can barely feel the razor on your skin.

That's what I'm afraid of. I've never seen a razor with so many opposing opinions. I was offered your old R41 for sale, but a buddy of mine is going to let me try his out. He would love to sell it to me as he does not care for how his face feels after using it.

Well, what can i say! If you have the money, go for it and if it is not for you, you will not have a problem selling it! But be very careful as it is very efficient (aggressive)!

Sorry, but I think its too late for you. Only having one brand-new, shiny R41 in your own hands will cure the AD.
My condolences... ;)

I have one and still have not made friends with it. Like others have said my face feels raw afterwards. I'm not giving up on it though, just think my technique needs to adjust.

You have to get it because its unlike any other razor you will have or try. I don't use it as much as my Weber but it is my favorite razor due to its close shaving awesomeness on a Saturday night or Monday morning. The trick for me in mastering it was using a steep angle (Handle almost parallel to the floor)

Try it! It's not bad. I'm a noob and Im getting great shaves with it. First one was a little rough, no blood though. You just need a feather light touch. It is an awesome razor. I'll never part with mine.

I own (2). It's the only razor I use. One stays in my travel kit. Buy one from the guy in Ireland (can't remember the site) and you can resell it for more than you paid on BST if you don't like it. At a minimum, you'll have a new scale for what an efficient razor is. Both my Slant and Fatboy on 9 felt ridiculously mild after learning to use the R41. Nothing to lose but a little skin and blood during the leaning curve. (Yes I did hack myself up. It took me 30 shaves to "master")
