Montreal Canadiens legend Henri (Pocket Rocket) Richard dies at 84

Richard played his entire 20-year NHL career (1955-75) with the Canadiens and won an NHL-record 11 Stanley Cups.

No one will ever claim the pocket rocket was the GOAT. But when you own more championship rings in your sport than some FRANCHISES in others, that says something.

The 'Pocket Rocket' (who also had the Richard 'stare' like his brother...only softer) was truly a great player w/ 11 Stanley Cups (which will never be surpassed), a 'class act', a gentleman and a Ambassador of for the 'Le Bleu-Blanc-Rouge'!

Watching him (yes...I had alot of hockey cards of him, his older brother & other Habs), with my friends and all the other 'Les Canadiens' a few times at the old Detroit Olympia when I was a young boy and Henri's 'soft hands', small frame and skating ability allowed him to confused 'the D' and 'psych out' goalies.

There will never be another even remotely like him...he will be missed by Canada, the NHL, the hockey community and may God Bless Him, Keep Him and may he Rest in Peace!
