What's new

Question for you Muhle synthetic knower abouters

I want to buy a Muhle silvertip fibre brush. I want the latest and greatest version. I don't know enough about Muhle's model numbers and names to tell the new version from the old version when shopping online. I tried researching it but came away confused. Can one of you gents kindly tell me where online I should shop and how to distinguish the old from the new? Thanks!

You already got some links so .... I ordered directly from Muhle and mine was model 35 K 252. It's not my favorite brush, very very soft tips, I like more scrub in a brush but if you want them luxurious soft you'll be pleased.

I just got my Muhle Silvertip Fiber today.. havent had a chance to use it yet, but in comparison to my Omega "Chubby" Synthetic, it looks quite nice, and feels amazingly soft!
It also looks the part sitting next to my Muhle Fine Badger!..... I'll let you know how it goes.. hoping to use it tonight, although I dont have much to shave due to BBS yesterday! :closedeye

I like mine that I got from shaving.ie a couple of days ago. Muhle Kosmo 31 K ???
Didn't realise it does this though.......

I believe that the Kosmo series wass designed to change knots from synthetic to badger with the screw in thread so you only needed one handle.

These are the same threaded knots that Muhle sells for artisans from time to time as well.

When I last contacte Muhle (recently) that was the only type of knot that was available (sold separately) = debatable whether it could be fitted into anything else....

It has been in the past. It is handled just like Omega knots with caps. You can choose to integrate the cap in the handle or cut the cap off with a cutting wheel.

Here is one Rudy Vey did that is really nice.

I find that my muhle synthetic uses less product to work up a wonderful lather and is as soft as anything i own - a definite in rotation for me

Good lookin' brush GD :thumbup1:

That one is not mine, so I will definitely give credit where it is due. Rudy Vey made that for cdhumiston. I had remembered that Rudy was using Muhle synthetic knots in some brushes. I remember Oscar11 has done some as well, but the ones he made have not been posted on B&B to the best of my recollection. You are right about the fact that is looks good!
